Preventative Medicine

Pets should have routine physical examinations in order to keep them happy and healthy! Preventative medicine is important because it allows us to find and treat problems or conditions early on, when they are much easier (and less costly!) to treat. During your dog or cat’s examination, we will thoroughly check your pet’s different biological systems, such as their vascular (heart), respiratory (lungs), skin, eyes, ears, and mouth. This also helps us establish a baseline of health for your pet, so that it will be much easier for us to notice if/when something becomes irregular.

Dentistry

Your dog or cat’s dental health is actually an incredibly important contributor to their overall health and well-being. Dental problems not only cause pain (remember, pets usually can’t tell us they’re in pain!), butcan actually lead to serious health complications with their heart, liver or kidneys. Good oral health starts with regular dental cleaning and polishing, which we perform routinely and safely. Importantly, we also clean under the gum line, where periodontal disease lurks. We can also perform tooth extractions for pets with more advanced periodontal disease.

Internal Medicine

When a pet suffers from a serious health condition, it is vitally important that we can accurately diagnose and begin treatment as early as possible. Our expert staff can screen for and diagnose diseases such asdiabetes, endocrine diseases including hypothyroidism, Cushing’s and Addison’s Disease, kidney and liver disease, heart disease and cancer.

Vaccinations
